Watersquare Tiel

In response to complex hydrological challenges, including elevated groundwater levels and flood risks, the City of Tiel has executed a strategic intervention in the Vogelbuurt district that integrates water management with urban renewal. The project utilizes public space as dual-purpose infrastructure, serving as a recreational amenity in dry conditions and a retention basin during peak precipitation events.
